Tropical Xishuangbanna is famous for its Dai Medicine. The Dai ethnic people have identified more than 2000 plants, animals, mushrooms, and minerals which are used to cure a wide variety of illnesses. Most important: herbal medicine is designed not only to heal but more prominently to make sure that the disease will not have any chance to attack you in the first place. Many of the medicinal species make very interesting garden and indoor plants. We have made a selection of peculiar but also endangered medicinal herbs because it is our goal to secure their survival through mass-propagation and cultivation, and we contract grow them with local ethnic communities of our area to help improve their livelihood.
